- Higher Data Transfer Speeds: Cat7 cover plates are designed to support higher data transfer rates compared to lower category wall plates. They are capable of delivering transmission speeds of up to 10 Gigabits per second (Gbps).
- Longer Cable Runs: Cat 7 wall plates support longer cable runs compared to lower category wall plates. They can reliably transmit data over distances up to 100 meters without experiencing significant signal degradation.
- Improved Shielding: Cat7 faceplate feature improved shielding compared to lower category wall plates. They usually have individually shielded pairs, as well as an overall shield around all the pairs, which helps to minimize crosstalk and electromagnetic interference (EMI). This enhanced shielding ensures better signal quality and reduces the chances of data corruption or loss.
- Enhanced Signal-to-Noise Ratio: Cat7 wallplate provide an improved signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) compared to lower category wall plates. The combination of better shielding and reduced crosstalk helps to maintain a clean and strong signal, resulting in higher network performance and fewer transmission errors.
- IMPORTANT NOTE: It’s important to note that while Cat 7 cover plates offer these advantages, they require the use of Cat7 cables throughout the entire network infrastructure to fully utilize their capabilities.(Come with screws.)
