HOW TO MAKE THE BEST HAM SANDWICH
HAM SANDWICH (SO SIMPLE!)
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a small saucepan, combine 1/2 tbsp mayo, Dijon mustard, and 1 tsp honey.
- Spread one side of each slice of bread with the mixture. One of those slices should be topped with onion, followed by tomato and a pinch of salt.
- Top the tomato with the cheese, then fold in the ham and season with black pepper. Add the second slice of bread, sauce-side down, and top with watercress.
- Cut in half and enjoy!

CAN I PREPARE THIS SANDWICH IN ADVANCE?
This tastes best when made fresh! As previously stated, the longer it sits, the soggier it becomes. You could make it ahead of time and store it tightly covered in the fridge, but don’t salt the tomatoes!
INGREDIENTS
- 2 slices of Seeded Bread
- 2 large slices of Ham
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced (3-4 rounds in the sandwich, don’t use the entire onion)
- 1 Tomato, sliced & patted with paper towels to soak up some moisture
- 1 square slice of Smoked Cheese
- small handful of Watercress (can sub rocket/arugula if you’d prefer)
- 1/2 tbsp EACH: Dijon Mustard, Mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Honey and Salt & Black Pepper, to taste
