Family tea blenders since 1945, members of the Bigelow family are still the inspiration behind all Bigelow teas — from the selection of the finest ingredients to the careful blending and crafting of each of our more than 120 flavors of specialty teas.

Tea is our passion. For three generations, the Bigelow family has been dedicated to creating and blending world class teas, insisting on 26 quality check points for every batch of tea that’s produced.

Selecting Ingredients

From the very beginning in 1945, we sourced handpicked teas from high-elevation gardens where the best teas are grown and herbs from the world’s finest gardens to create our flavorful blends. These valued partnerships with growers and processors continue to this very day, and are at the heart and soul of maintaining quality and flavor consistency from cup to cup.

Our Family Story

For 70 years and three generations, our family has been passionate about one thing Tea, starting in the kitchen when Ruth Campbell Bigelow created her first cup of ‘Constant Comment’ Tea until today. There is no point in the process from creating the flavors, to buying the ingredients, to testing the raw materials when they come in that we are not personally involved. We have to be it is too important for us to not make sure each cup is perfect, it has our name on it.
