Basil and peppermint vinegar added to a bath or bath bag, tones and refreshes. – General Herb Information – Basil – Any one of five varieties of basil may be used in cooking: – Sweet basil ( Ocimum Basilicum ) with inch-long, dark green leaves and a clove-pepperish odor and taste; a variety of sweet basil with purplish red leaves; a green leaf dwarf variety; a purple leaf dwarf variety; – Italian or curly basil ( O. crispum ) with large, crinkly, light green leaves and a stronger odor and taste than the sweet basil.
